    Canva Global Outage Creates Worry Among Users, Restores Services Afterward

    The leading graphic designing platform, Canva, encountered a global outage on November 12, 2024, disrupting millions of users with their designing tasks. As per the reports, users suddenly experienced blank screens, causing delays in continuing their workflows. People from different regions raised their concerns regarding the same on social media platforms.

    • The company immediately assessed the situation after receiving multiple complaints.    
    • "504 Gateway Time-out" has been acknowledged as the issue causing the outage.

    • The platform restored its services within hours.   

    Addressing the situation, Canva stated on X, "We're on it! We're aware some people are having trouble accessing Canva. We're working as quickly as we can to get things back up and running. For updates, visit status.canva.com. We really appreciate your patience! 

    The issue identified for service interruption was "504 Gateway Time-out", creating disturbance for 83% of website users and 14% of mobile application users.  Nevertheless, the company restored its services after receiving multiple complaints across regions.   

    The company later announced, "We're back up and running, and everything should be working as expected. We're keeping a close eye on things and really appreciate your patience while we got everything back on track. Thanks for bearing with us – let's get back to designing!"  

    Canva has a user base of over 180 million, including individuals, content creators, designers, marketers, businesses, and others. Hence, disturbances like global outages are truly troublesome for the users as well as the platform. Highlighting the issue and resuming the services, the company thanked its user base for enduring the situation.
